We absolutely did. Which is why I'm trying to see what they have here, now that whole "new and mysterious location" thing is wearing off a little.

Well, this place is a gym - you familiar with the concept? I'm starting to realize that some of you might not be...

... It looks like training grounds. Only inside, and without the weapons.

Oh! Sorry, sorry - but I think that stuff's pretty cool too! Your way of life is probably different from mine, so there's a lot I can learn.

... I assume all this is used for training purposes? Even if I'm not sure what they do, I can figure out that much.

Yeah! It's for exercise. [and because he is a jock, he'll raise an arm and flex. for someone twink-passing, mineo legit works out everyday. terrible.] Cardio, weight training, even flexibility, I think...

The ring over there is for boxing - uhh, a sport that mostly involves punches and jabs! I guess you could make it MMA if you really tried anyway...?

... That sounds more like brawler training, rather than boxing.

Brawler sounds like MMA - Mixed Martial Arts to me!

Is that an actual type of training you go through? Brawling...?

... Sure? Hand to hand fighting? It might be similar.

[ hm. ] It depends on what you specialise in. Some people have a knack for hand to hand brawling, so that's what they train in. I know someone like that.

Some people are better with arrows and aiming, so they specialise in the bow. Makes sense, right?

Swords. And magic that goes along with it. Hence why I was hoping to find a training blade or something.

It's... fairly standard, where I'm from. Either than, or a spear, or an axe. Those are pretty common.

Ah - they're crazy cool historical figures from the Sengoku Era! Honda Tadakatsu, strongest of the Sengoku and right-hand man to Tokugawa Ieyasu - and Sanada Yukimura, the man who tried to claim Ieyasu's head!

Eh - not that it makes any difference to you, I guess.... I just think that sort of thing's super cool! I guess if you're looking for a sword, you just need something with the right length until we find a blacksmith?

No, it doesn't. Different eras, maybe? [ or entirely different worlds. amazing. ] If we find a blacksmith here I'll be pretty impress, I can tell you that. But something around the size and weight of a training blade would suffice.

Getting some practice in would stave off boredom, at the very least.

Maybe there's a kendo sword or something...? Or we could try to ask for once? Omi-san said he wanted a pole in here....
