[Douman frowns a little more, but they nod in reply, glancing at the alcohol.]

[Looks like they are attempting very hard to stick with the silent treatment, which, for a talkative man like them...]

Alright, are we playing charades?

[ he'll hop behind the bar, incessant dripping noises aside, and line up bottles of alcohol on the counter. from the strongest of whiskeys, to the finest of wines and finally some of those fun and fruity cocktail mixes; and then just lean his arms lightly on the top of them. take your pick, tired clown. ]

[Yeah, its time to play clown charades, binch! Douman looks a little more peeved, but just tired.]

[At the selection, they think for a moment, before tapping some of the cocktail mixes with a questioning look. They haven't tried these ones!]

Oh, these? They're mixed drinks, I think. Most of them are fruity.

get a glass. pour douman some drink, drop a lil' umbrella in the glass for flair, and then push it over to him. ]

[Douman plucks the umbrella out of the drink and gestures to it, frowning, mouthing the word "UMBRELLA????"].

They've got to be behind the bar for some sort of drink related reason, right?

[ he's got another one in his hands and is twirling it idly. how many of these things are there? ]

[Douman looks dubious, but after a moment, takes a drink.]

[Oh. That's nice and sweet. They seem to like it!]

[ yuri is sticking the umbrella in his own hair. at least douman's getting some alcohol in him now. ]

So you're taking the "remain silent until whatever this wears off" plan as seriously as possible then. How're you going to know if you're back to normal if you're not talking though?

I hear saying what you really think can be quite freeing from time to time. Don't worry about it.

Ha! Yuri, I am in a place that rewards indulgence. Do you believe mere alcohol would offend my sensibilities?

There are some very intense priests out there in the world. I would be at loathe to assume.

[ speaking of he is going to take one of these really cute bottles, specifically the one that says Long Island, and pour himself a drink as well. ]

The Church of Seiros is powerful. And their believers are normally pretty devoted.

[ he shrugs, and sips his own drink, nose wrinkling slightly at the taste. ]

It's a combination that's served them well.

[commedia]

I have never heard of such a church. You sound like one who isn't such a faithful follower.

[aubins]

Why, does a faithful follower have to throw their lives into the church and nothing but the church?

[ he shrugs. ] I have my own ways to believe, and my own things to be doing without joining a priesthood because there's no other option.

[commedia]

No, not at all.

[And a wide smile.]

But you seem to have a more realistic look on it than others, that's all. People deep in religion wouldn't actually call themselves "intense". But it doesn't mean you don't believe at all.

... For some people it's a support and a comfort. And for others, well, the church can't do much for them either way.

What works for some people doesn't work for others, ultimately.
