beauregard's staff was there at the crime scene though. someone planted it, one way or another.
i don't think planting evidence is all that out of the norm, though. if you were avoiding being caught, you'd want to throw people as far off track as possible. murder counts as an indulgence, so if you get away with it... [ there's every incentive to. ]
ming yi was with you as well, like usual? it's not like the shovel's a secret, he could've had the idea of using it to defend himself.
... or had a plan to kill someone else. we just don't know right now. maybe we need to try and figure out if there is a way to wake up when you're not targetted, or targetting someone...
thats true. . .i think maybe he did it himself but i guess there isnt any way to know. i just dont think hes incapable of lying so hes probably not incapable of trying to frame someone on his own either
see ive said ill help anyone with any indulgences they want but murder is where im drawing the line. and trying to frame mingxiong for it is just low
he was with me like always. what was weird was vlad wanting to stay with me. i try to be friendly with everyone but i didnt think we were especially close
that may be a mystery we only work out if we retroactively figure out what happened to tamaki.
[ so. never. ]
there are enough other ways to go about it. but sometimes, if someone's dangerous enough-- let's not pretend like we wouldn't be here this week planning on how to tell people we killed the robot so they don't get distracted, if you hadn't finished him off last week.
... keep it in mind when we're looking over his body for injuries and figuring out where he died. it's probably going to tie in to why ming yi's shovel was taken, and what happened with his boots -- you said the ones left with him are too small?
oh i wont pretend that but i think theres a difference between murdering someone just for an indulgence and killing someone known to be dangerous. but none of our victims was that dangerous this week
even vlad was mostly harmless
and yes. he said they pinched his toes. . .theyre the wrong size because his dont normally pinch. hes on his feet too often to put up with wearing things that hurt
oh i'm not arguing that. but there's always more to things than we know -- if someone killed in self-defence, or knew something we didn't, then we'll have to keep that in mind. everyone's memories were on display this week. some people might've found out things others didn't want them knowing.
[ that could be incentive enough to kill. ]
... so, we need to figure out the size of those boots, because the killer probably wore them. Put yourself in a killer's shoes, not literally speaking, for a moment -- if you made footprints you couldn't clean up, what would you do?
[ i ask britt, rper of flayn, the ultimate boot culprit. ]
keep it in mind anyway. there might be a case with no framing, we won't know until we start picking it all apart.
[ he nods at his phone. ]
right. not sure about the leaving them on ming yi, part. but it could be that they want to plant a little doubt -- like us finding the staff did the first weekend this happened.
someone could use that to their advantage though, which is the dangerous thing. we're wary of frame jobs now after what happened with beauregard. but someone could just point everything to them and play us twice over.

[it's the framing that she's really mad about]
i guess id try to hide the shoes somewhere and find shoes that left a very different type of footprint
[but she wouldn't hide them on a PERSON. hello???]
