Well, the first time around, there was a power that corresponded to each Avatar, right? [...] So I wonder if it's that each Avatar provides a power in exchange for the task, or if it's just that enough powers are provided for us to have three of whatever there were.
If it's the first, then there aren't enough of us left for there to be three of each kind.
Eight by three is 24. There's a chance there's only one power out there with two recipients, but we won't know until we know who has what. Either by name or power type.
[ and then no more than two people responded to each power. ]
...I guess we'll only be able to figure it out if people share what they earned.
But... I can't really blame anyone who wants to keep quiet about theirs, at this point. Especially if it's something that could be used for self-defense if someone came after them.
Right? And some of these powers would be enough to have people automatically suspicious. We might need to be honest about some of what we know next week though -- with people changing body parts, someone might try to pin the crime on someone and we could fall for it.
...though if we share that we have it, someone else who does might think twice about using it because there would be someone out there who knows what it does.
[inb4 someone murders her and takeru so they can't out them and then tries to lie about what "doctors hate her" does.]
[ britt stop trying to die there's already people who know. ]
Benefits to talking about it in the open though. If the possibility exists, then we can throw doubt on things. And if you haven't used your powers, you can prove that you're innocent.
You're right. We have to think about what's best for the group as a whole, I think... if sharing or not sharing would help keep most of us alive, we should do that.
[ but britt you have to hit 10k and get your free paid from dana? you only have like 2.5k to go! ]
We can call it out if we need to. To the same end, I'd rather not use my power so I can straight up prove my innocence if need be. Puts me out of the running for accusation in the future, and at the time in question. It'd be quite obvious if I used it in the middle of trial.
... [ he rubs the back of his head. ] ... I'm trying to keep the number of people I tell down to as minimum a number as I can. Gojou knows, and so does Gu Yun, so it's fine to bring it up with them but no one else. Alright?
Yeah, but at least it's an obvious one to prove or disprove whether you used it. And no, it doesn't. Maybe because we were nosing into ability names and trying to assign meaning last time?
The alarms are meant to keep them from watching us, so, it stands to reason that they can quite easily see what we're up to the rest of the time.
...and they do know who killed each week, so it's not a stretch at all to say they can quite easily keep tabs on things we're doing right here right now.
Presumably, so can-- [ he does a little circle with his finger ]-- this place. I wonder if it's less them and more that throwing spanners in the works.
...that wouldn't surprise me much, either. Though with all the flesh we've found, it gives "the walls have ears" quite an unpleasant, literal meaning, doesn't it?

Hopefully! ...though, I wonder... if maybe we might be reaching a point where maybe there are only two of each power, not three.

There are a lot of killers we haven't caught.

It's all about weighing the risks and benefits.

What... does it do, anyway? [a beat] You don't have to tell me if you'd rather not, but - I wouldn't tell anyone else.

I can see why you'd want to keep that quiet. [...] That name really has nothing to do with it, though.
