But given what Molly did during the trial, there are obvious items people can use floating around. Is it possible one of them could be used to save someone from execution?

I don't know. Would Medb have gone that hard if she knew the execution was a farce? She was genuinely trying to strangle him at the end there.

I think the hubris power is our best bet, if we really are going to leave him alive. If he's told to fail at killing people, that should prevent him from doing anything drastic on Thursday.

I thinking killing him would be the best in theory, but in practice it will cause discord among the group, which will only make things worse for us.

I think Prim and Endorsi have that power. Although I think Prim might need twenty four hours to cool down before anyone asks her if she's happy to use it on Thursday.

I think Megara is likely the best bet. Primrose would help if we asked, but - I think there is a decent chance using this item on Childe will cost him his life. If she's close to him, no matter how angry, it seems needless to involve her.

Meg seemed a little unsure it would work when it was mentioned just now. But we can run it past her again, and have a few backups in mind.
