... Well, I'd take minimal over nothing. I'm just concerned we could run too wild with theories and then struggle to detach from them if they're proved wrong by other information we find or are told about.

We probably overcomplicate things. If we do things more logically, and try and keep our evidence in order maybe things will be easier.
