It's better to know more than one type of fighting style though. Otherwise you're in trouble if you don't have a sword, or a bow, or an axe.

That's true. I guess I have my gun but I keep defaulting to just hitting people anyway...

Yeah... It makes most fights pretty unfair, to be honest. It's really fast. Maybe if you all had your uh, powers...? You'd be able to do something against it but...

[mineo is pretty sure most people wouldn't give him trouble here if it came to a serious fight]

Spells might give me an edge, but I don't need them to fight. Might counteract the distance thing though -- I can fire off a spell from probably the distance you can fire off a gun.

[ hmm... ]

I'd be nice to have a heal spell or two though.

But... yea. I've always thought healing spells sounded really sick - but those don't exist at all where I'm from. I've always just had to heal the old fashion way.

I guess the closest thing to them would be the pods in the medbay...?

There's no guarantee they'll work completely, and you might need a few hits of them to fully heal... but the concept's not too dissimilar.

Try not to get yourself in a position where you need to use one of those, though. They tend to be used for the really bad things, don't they?

Yeah, I'd rather not crowd the rooms in case we need them. People really get into all kinds of crazy things around here.

We don't actually know if there are any limitations on using them either, so we can't really run the risk of over using them on everything. I don't know enough about modern tech but there's something powering them, isn't there?
