The question becomes, now, not who killed Tamaki, but who told him to do it. I imagine whoever it was told him to frame Beauregard, too. I have a feeling it was for the drama of it all.
don't worry about it. if hindsight actually mattered after the fact i'd have pushed her for more info. and maybe thrown away her drink while i was at it.
the robot kept referring to it all as "entertainment". considering the rules it was operating with, and the orders it had been given i don't think that's insignificant. like you said, it seems more for the drama than anything. but the drama isn't for us.

She's safe. He's gone. Right now, that's what matters. Good riddance - that thing should be scrap metal.
We shouldn't discount the possibility of whoever asking someone else to pick up the slack, though.
