I take back my assessment of this being related to music.

[ gu yun just kind of stares at it as it does, feeling the bass of these sick beats reverberate through his fingers.

he hits another button, making it mix in some sick edm. ] ...Huh.

[ time to hit more buttons, ]

[ this can only go well. yuri wanders over and leans over the console, pushing an unassuming button towards the edge of the console.




lights flicker on at the front of the decks and start flashing in time with the music. is this how dj decks work? i don't know. it is now. ]

This is terrible.

[ gu yun says this with all the glee of a delighted child, as he hits another button to make yet more noise layer over top. remix! or something ]

[ their ears are probably going to end up bleeding, but it's fine. ]

Where is all this noise even coming from, anyway. I don't see it playing instruments.

[ he presses another button. a klaxon starts blaring, and it does not stop. ]

oh, that noise is awful. gu yun laughs, an obnoxious cackle, more amused than anything, and plugs one of his ears. ] Now you've done it!

I'd like to undo it, honestly.

[ it just won't stop ]

[ gu yun presses the button again, just to see what happens. the klaxons continue. in fact, they turn into rap horns.

awful. this is hilarious. ]

another button is pushed and that typical "UNN TSSH UNN TSH" beatboxing noise emerges to join the party. the truly terrible party. ]

gu yun smacks a button, and it does stop the klaxons. at least there's that. ]

Well, one down. I think we're making it worse. [ he's still grinning like a shit, delighted by this horrible cacophony. master of chaos. ]

Well someone's having a good time, regardless.

[ at least it's easy to revel in chaos, when it's not directly setting something on fire. yuri flicks another button, and the lights at the front of the dj decks start changing colour periodically.

[ sorry! music's too loud. can't hear you!!

the lights are very bright. gu yun drops on the floor to look at some of the smaller buttons to the side. he reaches to tap a different one, and the lights in the entire room dim. mood lighting. ]

Oooh. Not quite the off button.

The semi-off button.

[ it. y'know it did something and really that's all they can hope for right now. while gu yun is crawling around on the floor as one does, yuri has found a wire and has started to follow it. ]

[ awesome. he's just prodding at buttons down here, now, which multiples the sound. a little slider moves it all to one side of the room. fantastic. ]

[ yuri follows the wire all the way to the... wall? where it seems to be trapped inside the wall itself. that seems weird.

he tugs it.

and then he tugs it again.

and then with a final pull he.................. pulls out the power cord. and the whole dj deck shuts down so fast it practically leaves him disorientated from the sudden lack of light, with ringing ears from all the noise that is suddenly god. ]
