[ on monday morning, gu yun can be found... at the shrine, actually! considering his general nature as a godless heathen, you would think this to be silly, but he fits right in among the flowering trees and serene atmosphere. he's sitting on a bench under a tree at the moment, and picking leaves off of a branch he seems to have plucked from one of the trees with his fresh claw fingers, courtesy of pride. there's a little pile of them next to him? it's fine.

looking up at footsteps, he tilts his head, and then offers yuri a smile. ] Afternoon.

[ it's the calm of the place, types the godless heathen typing this who lives for visiting shrines when she's in japan.

yuri will give gu yun a tilt of the head in greeting when he sees him. he's absolutely fine, apart from his eyes looking like they're on fire -- strange glow, molten red looking pupils and black sclera. it doesn't seem to be bothering him though. ]

The hatred you have for those monks of yours is truly impressive. Would that would could harness it and make some kind of weapon out of it.

If you met them, you would hate them too. Swear it, honestly. I've never met a priest I liked.

I'm sure I would. Shame, this is a really nice place... difficult to imagine it being clogged up with those kinds of people, ruining the atmosphere.

[ sunglasses are apparently the major technological invention they were all missing out on and really needed ]

I've been told I should bring electricity back with me but I'm not sure I'd know what to do with it even if I did. Sunglasses would be much easier to integrate into society.

But also, running water on demand would be a bonus.

[ I JUST DID SO MUCH RESEARCH anyway this is the benefit of being from fantasy china and not fantasy europe. ] Suppose I am a little ahead of you. It's not as quick and convenient as it is here, certainly, but it is nice.

Nope. Still tin bathtubs in front of the fire. It's fine in its own way, but heated, running water on tap? That's a bit of luxury.

Maybe there's blueprints or something. We could hook it up to magic somehow and make something that might work just as well.
